WHO WE ARE
La Vie en Rose
(pronounced la vee ahn hrose) is a French expression that
means Life in Pink or seeing life through rose-colored glasses. In Paris, where
everything is cast in the pink glow of the streetlamps, or Provence, where
the setting sun seems to glow from within the red clay hillsides, it makes sense.
To us though, it is more than a place, more than a color, and even
more than a light.
On
my very first visit to Paris, which was also my first trip alone, there
was a confidence I drew from the city that wasn't mine before. Years later
when my mom and I visited Provence, it was there again, waiting to be
rediscovered. Unmistakable and somehow stronger than before, because we
shared it together. This time I didn't let it go.
Don't
get me wrong. I don't believe there's anything particularly
magical about French soil, but there has always been an intangible mystique surrounding French women. Graceful femininity, passionate sensuality and invincible confidence.
This is
the essence of La
Vie en Rose to me. It is a reminder to respect, adore and admire the
amazing woman I have become...that every woman is.
Since
that first trip another love has filled my life. My beautiful
daughter, Rachel. I
hope with all my heart that La Vie en Rose becomes an inseparable part of
her spirit.
